A scientific reflection
born from observing a real need.

Why
BlastiMin Complex®

A simple question.

What can a woman do today when bone loss has already begun, but the clinical conditions for osteoanabolic therapy do not yet exist?

For many years bone health has been addressed mainly through controlling bone resorption and maintaining adequate levels of calcium and vitamin D.

These approaches are important.

But they do not answer a fundamental question.

How can we support the physiological formation of new bone matrix?

The paradox of primary prevention

Today we know precisely the main biological mechanisms that regulate bone formation.

We know that osteoblastic differentiation is governed by a coordinated sequence of cellular and molecular events.

We know that type I collagen synthesis represents a fundamental step in building organic bone matrix.

We know that the formation of new bone matrix necessarily precedes its subsequent mineralization.

Yet, in the early stages of bone loss, support for the biological processes associated with osteoblastogenesis still represents a relatively underdeveloped area compared to other aspects of skeletal health.

This represents one of the main paradoxes of primary prevention.

The biological window that precedes fragility

Before the onset of a fragility fracture, there is a long biological phase during which bone tissue continues to actively remodel.

A PHASE IN WHICH:

bone loss may have already begun;

bone matrix quality progressively worsens;

bone resorption takes over the process of generating new bone tissue.

Orologio biologico dell'osso: la finestra che precede la fragilità

Between the physiological decline of bone mass associated with menopause and the clinical conditions that may require osteoanabolic therapies, there is therefore a biological window of intervention that is not adequately addressed.

To respond to this specific medical need, the scientific rationale of BlastiMin Complex® was born.

Bone is a biological structure
that must be continuously rebuilt and remodeled

Matrice organica

Organic matrix

Synthesis of type I collagen and specialized proteins

Mineralizzazione

Mineralization

Deposition of minerals within the already built matrix

Tessuto osseo forte e funzionale

Strong and functional bone tissue

To understand this concept, it is necessary to remember that bone tissue is not made exclusively of mineral.

Bone is a complex biological structure made up of an organic matrix, consisting mainly of type I collagen and specialized proteins, which acts as scaffolding for the subsequent deposition of minerals.

In other words: you cannot mineralize what has not first been built.

The construction of the organic matrix and its subsequent mineralization represent two complementary phases of the same biological process.

Why BlastiMin Complex®

BlastiMin Complex® was born from a simple consideration.

If osteoblastic differentiation represents the first step in the formation of new bone matrix, then supporting the biological processes associated with osteoblastogenesis can represent an approach of great interest in the phases preceding the use of osteoanabolic therapies.

From this insight a research program was born, aimed at exploring an innovative strategy based on supporting osteogenic processes and modulating the microenvironment associated with inflammaging.

This path led to the development of the patented synergy EP4205733A1, the generation of preclinical evidence on osteoblastic differentiation, and the subsequent clinical evaluation of biomarkers associated with bone formation.

BlastiMin Complex® represents the result of this scientific journey.

Not just a simple set of ingredients.

But a formulation created to respond to a precise biological need:

how to support the formation of new bone matrix

in the phase that precedes overt skeletal fragility.

BlastiMin Complex

A patented formulation developed to support bone physiology.
